What to Bring ESSENTIAL:
- Your friends: because the camp will be more successful with more people
- Everything that you’d normally take camping: a waterproof tent, warm clothes, rain gear, a bowl, a cup, cutlery, a bottle for water, a torch, waterproof boots or wellies, sleeping bag and groundmat. If possible only bring shampoo, toothpaste and soap made from natural ingredients.
- MONEY - there is no ATM/cash machine or cash back available in Shannonbridge. The nearest cash machine is in Ballinasloe or Athlone. So make sure you bring enough cash to last for your stay. Suggested donations for meals will be under 5eu per meal. We also need donations towards the camp infrastructure - so please bring what you can. There will be no alcohol on the camp - but there are a few lovely pubs in the village.
OPTIONAL: - Art materials - paints, brushes
- Face paints
- Costumes! Bog creatures, chimney-sweeps, fairies, banshees
- Gardening gloves
- Musical instruments
- Camera or camcorder, tools, or paint - see our wish list if you can donate items!
- If you are involved in a not-for-profit organisation that works on environmental, social justice or community issues you can bring information leaflets to leave at the info point. (Organisations will not have their own stands)
What not to bring - Cars
- Pen-knives
- Dogs (except guide dogs)
- Glass bottles
- Drugs and alcohol
- Packaging and anything that will become rubbish
- STOVES - do not bring these, there will be a full kitchen providing food and fire in the evenings

- Predjudices and discriminatory ideas!
